The Next Chapter of Nirvana

Hey there,
This weekend, I spent a few hours at the Joshua Tree Music Festival with my best friend, Mat. While our partners watched the kids, Mat and I found ourselves deep in conversation about the future of Nirvana.
It all began with Breathe into the Wild—our first event series. It was an immediate hit. Every session filled up. People left transformed, connected, and asking when they could come back.
But as magical as it’s been, these events take a lot of time to create. And as many of you know, building this sanctuary for wellness isn’t my full-time job. Between running a few writing companies with 30 employees and raising a newborn, time is precious.
Those few quiet hours at Joshua Tree helped me step back and ask:
“How can we make this experience more accessible—without losing what makes it special?”
That’s when a new vision came into focus.
It turns out, the more people who come, the easier it becomes to host. With enough attendees, Nicole and I can hire help for setup, childcare, and production—allowing us to focus on what truly matters: creating unforgettable experiences.
The next challenge is expanding while keeping that same warmth, intimacy, and sense of community.
Here’s what we’re working on to make it happen:
Add 30 parking spaces – construction begins Monday (20 added over the next four months)
Two 6-person cold plunges – already purchased
An additional bathroom – in negotiation
Access to 25+ acres of land behind Nirvana for 500+ guests - in negotiation
More yoga supplies – mats, bolsters, blocks, and blankets
Breathe into the Wild swag – purchased
Coffee & tea stand – purchased and ready to serve up to 100 people
We’re taking a short pause on events over the next couple of months while we make these upgrades.
It truly takes a village to bring this vision to life, and every one of you has been part of that. The progress we’ve made together has been nothing short of incredible.
With care and gratitude,
Josh

P.S. I’ll be attending a breathwork session this week with Cesar Vallin, who led our last few Breathe into the Wild sessions. You can check it out here
